There are many things that make the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra a vital part of our community. In addition to performing our world class Masters Series concerts it is our hope that everyone has an opportunity to experience live orchestral music. This journey takes us from the Concert Hall into schools, hospitals, aged care facilities, prisons and even overseas. To enable us to do this, we need your help. For this year’s Annual Appeal we ask you to donate to the initiatives that appeal the most to you, so that your contribution goes straight to the areas you are most passionate about.
Educating the next generation: Every year, our interactive concerts and high-quality online resources inspire thousands of Tasmanian school students. We also deliver elite training opportunities nationally for young composers, conductors and performers. With your support, we can continue to nurture the next generation of musical talent.
Reaching out to the Community: Outreach programs share the joy of music with everyone by providing free workshops, performances and concert tickets to those people who would otherwise miss out. Your donation will deepen our connection with the community, giving even more people the joy of music.
Hosting world-class performances: Master Series concerts are a highlight of our season. To make these events possible, we bring the very best Soloists and conductors to Tasmania, with concerts, broadcast across the country and internationally. By supporting our Masters concerts, you are giving local music lovers access to world-class performances.
Taking our orchestra abroad: International touring builds recognition for the quality of our orchestra and Australian Music Program. This year there is an opportunity to expand our touring itinerary to include China, building on existing connections and relationships. You can help us reach new audiences with live performances.
You also have the option to give to the TSO Fund, which supports the TSO now or the TSO Foundation which supports the TSO into the future.
TSO Patrons are generous supporters whose donations to the TSO Fund underpin the financial viability of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra by supporting the TSO. Patron level gifts to the TSO Fund start at $1,000 and are tax deductible. Patrons are invited to join the Conductor’s Circle.
The Conductor’s Circle members are a group of like-minded music lovers sharing a special relationship with the TSO. You will enjoy a deeper connection to the orchestra, with opportunities to discover the inner-workings of our much loved cultural icon, including invitations to behind-the-scenes events. If you would like to become a TSO Patron, and Conductor’s Circle member, or to make a donation over the telephone, please call 1800 001 190 or for more information, contact Jessica Armson, Philanthropy and Special Events Coordinator on 03 6232 4405.
