Make a gift to the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.

Few things in life affect us in the same way as music.

Music is the soundtrack to every good and bad time we will ever have. Listening to a favourite piece is like catching up with an old friend.

Beethoven believed “music can change the world”, while Rachmaninov said “music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music”.

We all love music, and we all have a part to play in ensuring that the TSO can continue to perform the music you love for you and your community.

Thank you for playing your part by donating to the TSO Fund.

Your valued donation can be directed in a number of ways:

Unrestricted Orchestral support: Support all areas of the TSO’s artistic vision and annual operations.

Education and Outreach: Support a wide range of educational opportunities for schoolchildren in Tasmania and across Australia, community engagement programs that take the music to where it is needed most, and distinctive training programs for promising students and young professionals who will shape the future of music in Australia and abroad.

Touring Regional and Abroad: Help the TSO perform in regional Tasmania and Australia, and to share our artistry and the unique Tasmanian spirit with the world.

You can also support the TSO into the future by giving to the TSO Foundation, a managed endowment trust established to nurture and support the TSO for decades to come through annual capital distributions.

Donors of $1,000 or more are invited to join the Conductor’s Circle, a group of like-minded music lovers sharing a special relationship with the TSO. You will enjoy opportunities to discover the inner-workings of our orchestra, including invitations to behind-the-scenes events.

If you would like more information about supporting the TSO with a charitable donation or through your will, or about the TSO Conductor’s Circle and other benefits of giving, please contact Ed Benyon, Director Development, on 03 6232 4430 or email

We all have our reasons for loving music.

Thank you for playing your part, making a gift to the TSO, and helping the orchestra to play on!
